Alex Jones was thrown off of many social media platforms yesterday including Facebook, YouTube, Stitcher, Spotify, Apple and others. While pro-censorship voices have called this an act of the free market, nothing could be further from the truth.
These social media corporations were following a directive issued by leftist billionaire oligarch George Soros.
Soros addressed the global elite during a conference at Davos earlier this year. He blamed the open access of information on social media for disrupting his globalist agenda and made it clear that this type of behavior would not be tolerated.
“Companies earn their profits by exploiting their environment. Mining and oil companies exploit the physical environment; social media companies exploit the social environment,” Soros said, building an anti-capitalist narrative. “This is particularly nefarious because social media companies influence how people think and behave without them even being aware of it.”
“The owners of the platform giants consider themselves the masters of the universe, but in fact they are slaves to preserving their dominant position. It is only a matter of time before the global dominance of the US IT monopolies is broken,” Soros said, in a direct threat to the tech giants. “Davos is a good place to announce that their days are numbered. Regulation and taxation will be their undoing and EU Competition Commissioner Vestager will be their nemesis.”
Of course, it is not just the European Union where Soros has a tremendous deal of influence. He also owns many members of the Democratic Party as well as some moderate, anti-Trump Republicans. The social media corporations received the message loud and clear and targeted Alex Jones of Infowars. Jones is the worldwide leader of the anti-globalist movement and a leading Trump surrogate.
Jones responded to this censorship on his radio program, which is still allowed to be broadcast on Periscope and Twitter for the time being:

This raw display of Orwellian censorship may ultimately backfire, as it shows social media companies that are already growing unpopular with the public to be stifling and restrictive. It may also alert the public that Jones’ message is not one the elites want you to hear. Streisand effect, anyone?
